The Beginning of the Dosanjin People

Dosanjin opened in Ashiya in 1998.

When the founder was 18 years old, he decided to take over the family business specializing in whale meat on the condition that he would replace his father, who became ill.

In the beginning, they only sold whale meat, but they began to sell side dishes by modifying the meat that was unsold that day.

He has been interested in cooking since he was a child and has had many opportunities to work in the kitchen, which was fortunate for him.

Eventually, I met my promised deadline and found a job in the fashion industry, which I had wanted to work in for a long time.

A few years later, he became interested in general merchandise and established a trading company for imported goods, which were rare at the time. Eventually, he began manufacturing and selling originally designed products and steadily expanded his business.

However, he sold the company to one of his staff members after being hit by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995. He moved to Tokyo by himself to learn how to make buckwheat noodles.

After completing his training, he opened a restaurant in Ashiya called "Dosanjin".
